Janet Fernandez, CPA, CDFA™, CGMA (Founder):

    Our founder, Janet Fernandez was a Certified Public Accountant, Certified Divorce Financial Analyst, and a Chartered Global Management Accountant. She held many positions throughout her career including serving as Treasurer of the Board of Directors for Independent Group Home Living Program, Inc. (IGHL), and working as the Chief Financial Officer for the Parrish Art Museum. In addition, Janet shared her extensive knowledge with students of the community as an Adjunct Professor of Accounting at Suffolk County Community College and as a guest lecturer at New York University.

    Janet was a long-term member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants (NYSSCPA) and the Institute for Divorce Financial Analysts. She received her Bachelor's and Master's degree in Accounting from Long Island University graduating summa cum laude.

    Janet grew her boutique one-person firm into a multi-faceted company providing services to organizations of varying specialties. Although Janet sadly passed in 2021, her strong work ethic, personal client attention, and robust knowledge continued to live on in her Directing Manager, Christina Bonomo, CPA as well as the new owner, Vincent J. DiCalogero, CPA (see profiles below).

Vincent J. DiCalogero, CPA (Owner):

    Vinny is a member of the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants. Vinny received his Bachelor’s and Master's Degree in Accounting from Adelphi University and was a Professor of Accounting at Suffolk County Community College. In addition, Vinny represented the USA as a member of both the 1972 and 1976 Olympic Teams in Munich, Germany and Montreal, Canada. He was also a member of the NYC 2012 Athletes Advisory Committee to bring the Olympic Games to NYC. He also coached and played in the New York Empire State Games, leading the Long Island gold medal-winning team in “Team Handball.”

    Vinny and Janet (Our Founder) were married and both CPA’s and owners of their own Firms. Upon Janet passing away in 2021, she transferred Ownership of JFCPA to her husband (also a CPA) Vincent J. DiCalogero, CPA.

    Vinny and Christina Bonomo, partner, manage the operations of JFCPA.

    Christina is responsible for the Day-to-Day operations of all Client Services.

Christina Bonomo, CPA (Partner):

    Christina Bonomo is a Certified Public Accountant. Christina received her M.B.A in Account from St. Joseph's College, graduating summa cum laude

    Christina has been a part of Janet Fernandez, CPA. P.C. for twelve years, specializing in not-for-profit and for-profit accounting. Christina is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accounts and the New York State Society of Public Accountants.

Rose Porfido (Senior Accountant):

    Rose Porfido received her Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting from Baruch College and is currently pursuing her Master’s degree in Accounting from St. Joseph’s College. Rose has worked closely with Janet* and Christina for seven years, specializing in not-for-profit and for-profit recordkeeping and accounting.

Tyler Nill (Accountant):

    Tyler Nill received his Bachelor's Degree from Stony Brook University and Master’s degree in Accounting from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Tyler has been a part of Janet Fernandez, CPA P.C. for six years and he is specializing in for-profit and not-for-profit recordkeeping.

Corey Nill (Jr. Accountant):

    Corey Nill received his Associate's Degree from Suffolk County Community College. Corey has been a part of Janet Fernandez, CPA P.C. for seven years. He specializes in for-profit and not-for-profit recordkeeping and support services.

Calli Snook (Jr. Accountant):

    Calli Snook recently joined Janet Fernandez, CPA P.C. and specializes in for-profit and not-for-profit recordkeeping. Calli is currently pursuing her Master’s degree in Accounting.
